DJI's Mavic 4 Pro: A quantum leap in aerial cinematography
DJI has once again elevated the world of aerial cinematography with the Mavic 4 Pro , which comes with stunning updates in design and functionality. The traditional suspended gimbal has been replaced with a 360° Infinity spherical gimbal at the front of the drone, improving the aircraft's aerodynamic design.
The aircraft includes three advanced lenses inside the new gimbal:
All lenses are supported:
It offers a full 360° rotation, enabling creative and daring shots such as Dutch angles, as well as the ability to shoot at a 70° upward angle , to capture skyscrapers or mountains from distinctive angles.
The tracking technology has been improved to be smarter and more autonomous, allowing the aircraft to make independent navigation decisions while tracking targets, even in low-light conditions. It can also track vehicles from a range of up to 200 meters (656 feet).
The aircraft is equipped with six low-light fisheye sensors, sensitive to as little as 0.1 lux , providing comprehensive obstacle avoidance capabilities even at night. When light drops below 0.1 lux, the front-facing lidar intervenes to detect obstacles and ensure rapid avoidance.
The automatic return to starting point feature at night uses LiDAR to avoid obstacles in the dark. The GPS-free return system also uses computer vision and real-time mapping to track the route even without satellite signals.
O4+ technology provides 10-bit HDR video streaming from up to 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) away, with improved algorithms to reduce interruptions in high-noise environments such as cities, and even during multi-aircraft flight.
The Quick Transfer feature allows you to transfer photos and videos at speeds of up to 80MB/s using Wi-Fi 6 even without the drone being turned on, via the DJI Fly app.
